En el cine-teatro Royal, fundado en 1938 y testigo de grandes acontecimientos culturales nacionales e internacionales, tuvo lugar la inauguración del III Festival CineCuba, que hasta el 5 de este mes pasará revista a importantes filmes y documentales producidos en la Mayor de las Antillas, bajo los auspicios de los amigos de Cuba y del ICAIC.

Los realizadores Estela y Ernesto Bravo y el joven cineasta Ian Padrón, presentaron sus producciones, “Mandela y Fidel” y “Habanastation”, respectivamente.  Estela Bravo narró a los espectadores presentes cómo concibió la idea de compilar en solo 33 minutos la intensa relación que se estableció entre dos hombres excepcionales de la historia de la humanidad.Por su parte, Ian Padrón se refirió al proceso de producción de su ópera prima que ha participado, en tan solo dos años desde su puesta en escena, en 48 festivales de cine de varios continentes, siendo premiada en 25 ocasiones; cómo realizó el casting de los niños junto a La Colmenita, compañía infantil dirigida por Ernesto Cremata; la selección de las locaciones, en especial la filmación en toma uno de la escena del Primero de Mayo en la Plaza de la Revolución.Al terminar la proyección de cada filme, se produjo un rico intercambio entre los espectadores y realizadores de los mismos, en el que no faltaron emocionantes anécdotas y experiencias vividas por sus protagonistas, así como muestras de admiración y respeto hacia la cultura cubana.En esta nueva cita de la cinematografía cubana, estuvieron presentes los miembros del colectivo del Consulado General de Cuba en Toronto, miembros de las organizaciones de solidaridad con Cuba y cubanos residentes en Toronto.(Consulado de Cuba en Toronto) OPENING NIGHT OF CINECUBA IN TORONTO TORONTO, November 1, 2013.-  The Royal Theatre, --founded in 1938 and a whiteness of great national and international cultural facts--, was the venue for the 3rd CineCuba Festival, on the auspices of friends of Cuba and the ICAIC, from November 1-5, an overview of the most important films and documentaries of the Major of the Antilles.Estela and Esteban Bravo, as well as Ian the young Ian Padron, made the presentation of their film productions, -- “Mandela and Fidel”, and “Habanastation”, respectively.  Estela Bravo explained to the audience how she made a 33 minutes compilation of the intense relationship between these two outstanding men for mankind history.Accordingly, Ian Padrón talked about the production process of his “fiction opera prima”, which has been awarded 25 times at 48 cinema festivals throughout the world in only two years; the casting of the children and “La Colmenita” crew, a Cuban theatre and music group led by Ernesto Cremata; settings selection, specially the one shot of May Day parade take at the Revolution Square.After each film, there was a debate among the audience and the film makers, full of anecdotes and remembrances of their participants, and also admiration and respect to Cuban culture by all of them.The whole members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto took place at this new invitation for the Cuban film production in Toronto, as well as friends of Cuba and residents of Cuba in Toronto (Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto)
