En la mañana de ayer tuvo lugar en esta ciudad la marcha anual del Día del Trabajo (fecha que se celebra en Canadá el 2 de septiembre), en la cual las organizaciones que integran el Comité por la Liberación de los Cinco Héroes marcharon denunciando una vez más este cruel encarcelamiento que el próximo 12 de septiembre cumplirá 15 años. El Comité está integrado por Worker to Worker, la Asociación Canadiense de Solidaridad con Cuba en Toronto (CCFA – Toronto por sus siglas en inglés), el Partido Comunista de Canadá, la Asociación de Cubanos Residentes en Toronto “Juan Gualberto Gómez”, el Toronto Forum on Cuba, entre otras organizaciones.
La ocasión propició que dichas organizaciones pudieran dar una mayor publicidad al tema, haciendo posible que más canadienses conozcan y se unan a esta justa lucha. El Comité en Toronto se ha trazado un grupo de acciones como parte de la Jornada Internacional lanzada por Cuba y el ICAP, entre las que vale mencionar una nueva marcha y concentración de denuncia frente al Consulado norteamericano en esta ciudad el próximo 7 de septiembre así como una muestra de cine cubano denominada 5 Días de Festival de Cine por la Libertad de los Cinco.
Otras actividades contempladas en el calendario serán “La Palabra en la Calle” y “Cuba por autores canadienses” dedicadas fundamentalmente a la publicidad y distribución de bibliografía sobre los Cinco y sobre los actos de terrorismo contra Cuba, estos últimos a cargo de los reconocidos  escritores canadienses Stephen Kimber, Keith Bolender y Arnold August.
Un momento especial será sin dudas la celebración del Simposio “La guerra desconocida en Africa - el terror del apartheid, el rol de Cuba y la liberación de Africa del Sur los días 27 y 28 de septiembre en la Universidad de Toronto bajo el auspicio de la Red de Solidaridad Canadiense con Cuba, donde se dedicará un espacio a la contribución a esa gesta heroica de tres de los cinco antiterroristas cubanos.

ACTIVITIES TO CONDEMN THE 15 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT OF THE CUBAN FIVE KICKED OFF IN TORONTO.
Toronto, September 3, 2013. Yesterday morning took place in this city the Annual Labor Day March (date to be held in Canada on September 2), in which the members of the Committee for the Liberation of the Five marched denouncing once over this cruel imprisonment that next September 12th will mark 15 years. The Committee is composed of Worker to Worker, the Canadian Association for Solidarity with Cuba in Toronto (CCFA - Toronto), the Communist Party of Canada, the Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto "Juan Gualberto Gómez”, the Toronto Forum on Cuba, among others.
The occasion allowed these organizations to give a greater publicity to the issue, enabling more Canadians to know and to join in this just struggle. The Toronto Committee has drawn up a set of actions as part of the International Day launched by Cuba and ICAP, among which worth mentioning a new march and rally in front of the US Consulate in this city on September 7th and a film series called 5 Days Cuban film Festival for the Freedom of the Cuban Five.
Other activities included in the calendar are "Word on the Street" and "Cuba by Canadian Authors" principally engaged in the promotion and distribution of literature on the Five and about the acts of terrorism against Cuba, the latter in the hands of renowned Canadian writers Stephen Kimber, Keith Bolender and Arnold August.
A special moment will undoubtedly be the Symposium "Africa's Unknown War: Apartheid Terror, Cuba & Southern African Liberation” on September 27 - 28 at the University of Toronto under the auspices of the Canadian Network on Cuba, where the heroic contribution to that epic war by three of the Cuban five will be recognized.
